In a bid to protect sensitive Excel 2016 files, users often set complex passwords. Unfortunately, there is a good chance of forgetting the kept password, especially if the file is not opened for some time. Now, Microsoft does not provide a password recovery option to recover forgotten passwords set to protect Excel 2016 files. This is why the only is to use an external password recovery software. We are using the Excel Password Recovery Standard software.
Step-1: Launch Excel 2016 Password Recovery
Launch Excel password recovery standard software and click Open. Before everything else, you need to download and install the Excel Password Recovery Standard software. Once it’s successfully installed on your PC, click the software icon to launch it.
Step-2: Select The Excel File
Next you need to browse and select the excel file in question. Once the browse window appears, select the Excel 2016 file you want to access and click Open.
Step-3: Recover The Password
Select Recover The Password And Click Next. First you need to select one of the file recovery actions. If want to recover the kept password select the “Recover The Password” option and click Next.
Step-4: Recovery Method
First, click Start. The next step is to select a recovery method. Select one that has the best chance of recovering the password and click Start. This initiates the password recovery process. Be patient and allow the software to complete the function.
Step-5: Access The Excel File
Use displayed password to access the excel 2016 file. If successful, the software displays the recovered password. Use it to access the Excel 2016 file.
