Almost all users keep their Amazon accounts auto logged in. This means they do not need to enter their password every time they go to Amazon. When accessing Amazon from an unknown device, users often realize that they have forgotten their passwords. This happens a lot and there is no reason for panic. Simply follow the password recovery steps below to access your Amazon account.
Step-1: Click “Sign In” Located Under The “Your Account” Tab
Hover the mouse pointer over the Your Account tab located near the top-right section of the page. Once the pop-down menu appears, click Sign In.
Step-2: Click “Forgot Your Password”
When redirected to a new page, click either Forgot Your Password or the Get Password Help link to initiate the password resetting process.
Step-3: Enter Email Address And The Security Code
This opens a new page. Enter the Email Address you used to register your Amazon account in the blank field. You also need to type in the displayed security code in the blank field below it. If you are facing trouble identifying the code click the Try A Different Image link. Once complete, click the Continue button to move on to the next step.
Step-4: Open The Amazon Email And Click The Link
Once you complete the previous step, Amazon automatically sends you an Email to your registered Email account. You need to go to your mail inbox and open that mail. The mail contains a blue link. Click that link to move on to the final step.
Step-5: Set New Password
Finally, you need to create a new password. Enter a new password and then re-type it in the two blank fields. Click the Save Password button to successfully change your Amazon password.
